Charters Towers Tourist Park Features

Charters Towers Tourist Park is a lovely quiet, shady, clean and green park. One of our park’s defining features is the wide variety of native birds found here. Some of which are pictured below.

Over the years we have engaged in an ongoing program of planting native trees and shrubs to attracts the birds, which provides hours of enjoyment for those interested in birds watching.

Guests find that the birds in their natural environment are a pleasure to listen to and enjoy. The photos below have all been taken in our park.

Charters Towers Tourist Park is pleased to offer the following facilities for the convenience of all our guests:

• Internet and Wi-Fi

  

  Our Wi-Fi service covers the whole of our park. If you are travelling with your own lap top, notebook or other device you will be able to access the internet from your cabin, caravan or tent. We offer 24 hours - 30MB free access.

   

• Shop / Kiosk

  

  A well appointed shop is on-site to provide most things that are commonly run out or forgotten. Bread is delivered fresh daily except Sundays.

  Papers are delivered every day. Milk, ice cold drinks, postcards, souvenirs and many grocery lines are available.

  We also have a liquor license with a range of beers, red and white wines available for purchase.

   

• Pool / Spa

  

  Relax in our swimming pool/spa after a long day travelling or exploring.

  It is the perfect place for all the family.

   

• Camp Kitchen

  

  We have a camp kitchen which includes a Fridge, Microwave, Hot Plates, BBQ, Tables, Chairs and washing up facilities.

  During the winter months from May, meet your fellow travellers at our "Happy Hour" and be entertained by professional Bush Poet Neil McArthur - AKA - The Ratbag of Rhyme

  The Camp Kitchen is also the venue for dinners in support of local community groups. To find out what is happening, please check with reception.

   

• Laundry

  

  Our laundry is fully refurbished and spotlessly clean. We have three lovely front loading washing machines and a dryer which are all coin operated.

  There is an ironing board in the laundry with an iron available from reception for use free of charge.

   

• Dog Friendly

  

  Did you know we are Dog Friendly?
